Jive Recommends: Best Vancouver Patios

There’s no better way to unwind then on a patio with good friends, big laughs and a couple of cold ones! Just in time for the long weekend, we’ve put together a personal recommendation list of patios that are above and beyond the norm: whether that’s because of the layout, cool décor and chilled out beats, the amazing staff, or the mountain vistas. Jiver’s work hard to play hard and we recommend unwinding this weekend at one of the following places:

Corrie recommends the Summit Lodge just off the Sea to Sky highway in Squamish BC. The patio and viewing deck are the perfect place to enjoy the incredible panoramic mountain views while overlooking the gorgeous Howe Sound. At the top of the gondola, adjacent to the gondola terminal, the 9,000-square foot Summit Lodge is a perfect place to unwind and have a bite to eat or a beer with friends after a day of adventure.

Kelsey recommends Reflections Lounge at the Hotel Georgia. If you are into people watching, good drinks and great food, this is your downtown rooftop terrace of choice.

With its bustling after work scene, Milena recommends anywhere in Yaletown. Start off your long weekend with a Friday debrief at Banter Room. Then head over to PHATS Sports Bar to watch the NBA or NHL playoffs.

Soraya recommends Cactus Club in English Bay. She says the best part about Cactus Club is that you get to “experience the beach without getting sand in your toes!”  Pop down for some sunshine and smiles. Who doesn’t love the beach?

Stephanie, gets back to her Kiwi roots at the beach as well. The Local in Kits is said to be the heart of the ‘hood in Kitsilano, with great beer food and people and the evening twinkle lights are amazing.

Courtenay recommends Minami’s patio in Yaletown! Amazing sushi, delicious cocktails and a personal recommendation of the French 75.

If you want to get out of the city with your four legged friend, look no further than Brewers Row in Port Moody. Olivia recommends checking out Twin Sails or Yellow Dog to sit outside with a few pints. All patios are dog friendly!
