Tiktok Stories: Stay Connected

Wondering how to quickly update your TikTok community throughout your day? Now you can through TikTok stories! The new story feature is taking off as users are able to update their followers in more ways than just posting to their actual feed. Big time TikTok users, such as Selena Gomez, are already jumping into the new feature.

Through the new story feature, users can now keep up with their favorite creators in a more day to day fashion. The story update allows users to incorporate a lot of the same features as a regular TikTok post. Creators are able to use filters, sounds and can even reply to comments on their stories. Similar to Instagram stories, Tiktok users can like and comment on a story that they are watching.

If you are wanting to create a story on your own TikTok profile, the process is rather easy. Simply go to your profile, hit the plus sign icon next to your profile picture and get started! Don’t have time to post a video to your story? No big deal, a picture will do!

So, what’s the point? Well, TikTok stories are able to provide a more exclusive look behind the scenes into your favorite creator’s lifestyle. Rather than a planned out dance routine or a scripted video, stories are destined to be even more authentic. Creators are able to share stories, updates and other creative endeavors through the story feature.

TikTok creators can also start to promote their actual TikTok posts through their own stories. They are able to post about their main content as well as interact with their followers in the separate comment section that is dedicated to that story. This is beneficial because now creators can keep their profile aesthetically intact while still able to share content that wouldn’t otherwise match their profile presence. It will also draw new people to their profiles, while continuing to interact with longterm followers.

These quick stories are easily accessible by going directly to a creator’s profile and clicking on their profile picture. They can also occasionally be found on your For You page when you first open the TikTok app. But hurry, stories are only available for 24 hours after they are posted!
