Description of the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Account Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with 6 months to 2 years of PR or communications experience (internships included) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn.

You will play a key support role across accounts—handling research, reporting, monitoring, and administrative tasks—while also gaining hands-on experience with pitching, influencer outreach, and campaign execution. Strong writing, organizational skills, and a collaborative attitude are essential.

The job’s location is Canada. Although most of your work will be via the web, we may have some opportunities to attend client-facing meetings or events.

Responsibilities

Your role would include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Research & Admin Support – Conduct media, industry, and competitor research; compile background briefs and organize client materials.
  • Media Monitoring – Track traditional, online, and social media coverage; maintain coverage reports and client trackers
  • Reporting – Prepare weekly client updates, campaign status documents, and monthly wrap reports.
  • Database Management – Build and maintain media lists; keep team resources current.
  • Team Support – Assist senior team members with day-to-day client deliverables and administrative needs.
  • Content Drafting – Draft basic pitches, media briefs, press lists, and client communications under supervision.
  • MediaOutreach – Research and vet press contacts; draft outreach templates and track responses.
  • FAM Coordination Support – Assist with logistics, scheduling, and coordination of client FAM trips.
  • Growth Opportunities – Over time, gain experience in direct pitching, brainstorming creative ideas, and developing media angles.
  • Client Service – Provide responsive and detail-oriented support to help deliver “wow” moments for clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • You hold a degree, diploma, or certificate in PR, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • You are highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management.
  • You have excellent writing and proofreading skills.
  • You are a proactive self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • You are eager to grow your skills in PR strategy, media relations, and campaign execution.
  • You are comfortable using tools such as Notion, Google Suite, Cision, Critical Mention, or similar PR software.
